This past week saw the Vancouver real market slow substantially. New Listings and Sales both fell significantly while there was also a slight decrease in the Active Listings. Much of the decrease, I believe can be attributed to the fact that Rememberance Day fell in the middle of the week.

The strength in the Vancouver real estate market doesn’t appear to want to fade away this fall. Even in November we are seeing the Vancouver real estate market continue to defy gravity. Sales continue to be high, new listings are slowing down and the number of active listings in Vancouver is dropping steadily.

Upward Pressure Continues
October 2009 ended up being another stellar month in the Vancouver real estate market. We’ve become accustomed to seeing strong results this year, and October was no exception. Demand remained strong while supply shrank and the result was that prices were pushed higher.

Another Great Month
The Vancouver real estate market has remained strong through the month of September. The most recent month was the second best September ever on record for Vancouver (as measured by units sold). The strength that has been evidenced in the market since the beginning of the year doesn’t appear to be abating.
For the [...]

We are now one more week into the fall market. It appears as though much of the strength of the summer market has held. Yes, listings are creeping up (thank goodness) but sales are staying very consistent (although dropping slightly).
