There were 162 Active Listings in the month of June 2009. This is down significantly from 191 seen in May 2009 and less than half the high of 328 seen in October 2008 in the Fairview community of Vancouver.

Across the city of Vancouver, Sales were very strong in June 2009. Fairview was no different, but Sales rose only slightly from the 92 seen in May 2009 to the 93 in June 2009. There were only18 Sales in January 2009 and as recently as April 2009 there were only 58 transactions.

The Average Sale Price rose to $524,000 in May 2009 from $482,000 in May (not far off the high of $563,000 reached in April 2008). Cumulative Days on Market rose to 81 (from 79) days. Meanwhile, the Average Price Per Square Foot rose slightly to $536 from $523.

There was 1 sale under $200,000, 6 sales between $200,000 and $300,000, 25 sales between $300,000 and $400,000, 21 sales between $400,000 and $500,000, 15 sales between $500,000 and $600,000, 12 sales between $600,000 and $700,000, 5 sales between $700,000 and $800,000, 3 sales between $800,000 and $900,000, 3 sales between $900,000 and $1,000,000, and 2 sales over $1,000,000.

The least expensive sale was $152,000 for a 49 year old 433 sq ft studio. The most expensive sale was $2,580,000 for a 8 year old, 2727 sq ft, 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom.
