On June 28th, 2010 I once again set the record (for the second year in a row) for the most ascents of the Grouse Grind in a single day. My motivation was to raise as much awareness (and $15,000) for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation as possible.
I attained my goal by reaching the top of Grouse Mountain 14 times in one day. This was the third year in a row that I set the standard for this event, but only the second that I did it for charity. This year, I was better prepared for the deluge of public and media interest which had taken me by surprise the year before.
There are so many positive outcomes that have resulted from my pursuing this record, not the least of which is the money that is raised for a meaningful cause. What I am most proud of, however, is the awareness that has been raised for the RLP Shelter Foundation. Here is a sampling of media coverage of the event this year:

Donations are still open. If you would like to make a donation to the RLP Shelter Foundation you can so here. I am very close to my goal of raising $15,000, but I could use your help to achieve it.
