It was only a few short months ago that we were facing one of the worst real estate markets in Vancouver history. The month of January 2009 (read my Vancouver real estate blog for updates) was the weakest in over 30 years. However, the market has shifted significantly (and quickly) once again as June 2009 was the second busiest on record...ever.
Buyers are no longer in the driver's seat. We are seeing homes selling in a matter of hours, line-ups at open houses and multiple offers driving selling prices over asking. Buyers need the help of an expert realtor who has their finger on the current market pulse and is resourcefull enough to help them find the best home in this time of extremely low inventory.
